DONNIE E. RICE FLETCHER – Donnie E. Rice, age 75, of Fletcher died Monday, December 5, 2016. Donnie was born October 15, 1941 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. A son of Minnie Roberts Rice of Weaverville and the late L. Vestal Rice, and husband of the late Terrie Wallace Rice who died in 2006. In addition to his mother surviving are his daughter, Sherrie Waldrup and husband Dale; son, Lee Rice; brother, Jerry Rice; grandchildren, Alex Berner, Jake and Justin Rice; along with 2 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016, in Long’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Weaverville, with Reverend Troy Rogers officiating.
