Doris Ousley Cope

DORIS OUSLEY COPE ASHEVILLE, NC / POMPANO BEACH, FL – Doris Ousley Cope, age 96 of Asheville, NC and formerly of Pompano Beach, FL went to be with her Lord and her loved ones on Monday, June 20, 2016 after some time of declining health. Mrs. Cope was a Broward County Pioneer, and was an accomplished landscape artist of scenes in Florida, the Carolinas and of the Rocky Mountains. She was a daughter of the late John and Mae Ousley. Also preceding her in death were husband, Orrin Cope; daughter, Dorinda Jane; grandson, Cameron; and great-granddaughter Kate. Surviving are her daughters, Lurly Cope Brittain and her husband Bob, Chris Muckridge and her husband Terry; son, Orrin Henry Cope and his wife Diane; Dorinda’s daughter, Shawn; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016, in the chapel of Pompano Beach Christ Church, 210 NE 3rd St., Pompano Beach, FL.
