Doris Grooms Davis

WOODFIN—Doris Grooms Davis, age 91, formerly of Orlando Fla., died Friday, April 22, 2011. Mrs. Davis was born July 12, 1919, in Raeford, N.C. She was a daughter of the late Reedy Boyd Grooms and Theodosia Williams Grooms Millard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George Cox Davis, and son, Raymond Carl Davis. Surviving are her daughter, Diane Brown Graw and husband Bob of Weaverville; grandchildren, Kimberly Brown and Neil Brown. Her memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, April 26, 2011, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Skip Gillikin officiating.
