Dorothy "Dot" Faye Eckerich

Dorothy Faye Eckerich, age 76, of Asheville, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Mission Hospital.

Known by friends and family as “Dot,” she was born on April 5, 1948, in Cook County Illinois and was a resident of Buncombe County for over 50 years. She was known for her energy, friendliness, and love of life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Dot enjoyed her numerous beach trips with her friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Little and Esther Jirkovsky, husband, Marvin Eckerich, and grandson, Ryan Felder.

Surviving are her sister, Pat Noonan and husband Michael; brother, Jimmy Little; daughter, Darlene Sours and husband DJ; daughter, Dawn Felder; stepson, Steve Eckerich and wife Vicki; and stepson, Jeff Eckerich; grandchildren, Peyton Sours, Nicholas Felder, and Chad Eckerich.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with close friends and family.
