DOROTHY BARRETT MCKINNEY WEAVERVILLE - Dorothy Barrett McKinney, age 83 of 15 Coleman Hill Drive died Sunday, November 29, 2015. Mrs. McKinney was born March 31, 1932 in Buncombe County to the late John and Curry Rice Barrett. She was a retired seamstress. Preceding her in death are husband Clyde McKinney; son Phillip; sisters, Jenny and Sue; and brother, Howard. Surviving are daughters, Susie Maxwell and Kathy Ann King; son, Jack McKinney; grandchildren, Felicia, Whitney, Melissa and Jeremy; great grandson, Bryson. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2015, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Danny Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Flowers are welcome.
