Dorothy S. Sprinkle

WEAVERVILLE—Dorothy S. Riddle Coates Sprinkle, age 86, of Weaverville, graduated into heaven on May 1, 2013. A native of Pennsylvania and Ohio, she lived in Weaverville since 1964. She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeland and Stella Wray Scaife; the husband of her children, Cecil G. Riddle; husbands, Arthur Hayes Coates and Don Sprinkle; grandson, Richard Riddle; and sister, Mary Fedor. Mrs. Sprinkle was an active member of Pine Burr Park Baptist Church before going into a nursing facility. Surviving are her children, Nancy Carruthers and husband Bob of Florida, JoAnn Banks and husband David of Weaverville, David Riddle and wife Jean of Burnsville, Gene Riddle and wife Linda of Garner; brother, Ray Scaife and wife Susan of Ohio; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Her graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2013, at West Memorial Park, with Rev. Gary Haynes officiating. At other times the family will be at the home of David and JoAnn Banks.
