DOUG “RED” PIKE
BARNARDSVILLE – Doug “Red” Pike, age 51, of Barnardsville died on Friday, January 1, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Pike was born May 15, 1964 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life and had attended Clyde A. Erwin High School. He worked at Allen’s Gulf, loved classic cars and knew everyone. He attended Paint Fork Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his sons; Dusty Pike, Dakota Pike, and Patrick Pike; father, Elbert Pike “Cork” and wife Ellen; mother, Jan Stevenson and husband Larry; half-sister, Jessica James and husband Jason; step-sister, Donna Anderson; brother, Chris Pike and wife Cindy; half-brother, Jeremiah Stevenson; step-brothers, Tim Anderson, and Ray Anderson and wife Lori; and two grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Shane Lunsford and Reverend Keith Watkins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2016 at the funeral home.
At other times, the family will be at the home of Jan and Larry Stevenson.
