WEAVERVILLE—Edith Ballard Ingle, age 95 of Weaverville, died Saturday November 5, 2011.
Mrs. Ingle was born May 13, 1916. Edith was employed with Sayles Biltmore Bleacheries and retired from Vanderbilt Shirt Co. She was preceded in death by her parents; Lattie and Winston Jones Ballard, her husband Horace Waverly Ingle who died in 1995, daughter; Ruth Ingle Hunter, son; Ronald Ingle, son-in-law; Calvin Hunter, grandsons; Rick and Mike Presley, great granddaughter April Nicole White, sister; Iris Bradley, brothers; Rex, Marshall and Rev. Harold Ballard.
Surviving are her daughters, Allene Presley and her husband Paul of Arden, Doris Plemmons and her husband Calvin of Asheville; son, Ray Bert Ingle and his wife Linda of Weaverville; daughter-in-law, Wanda Ingle Stevens of Floyd, VA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2011, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, Burial will be in West Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
At other times, the family will be at the residence.
