Edith P. Reece

Edith P. Reece, age 95, of Weaverville, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Mrs. Reece was born August 29, 1927, in West Virginia.  She was a resident of Buncombe County since 1950.

She was a member of the Vance Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #285 and was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall.

Mrs. Reece was the daughter of the late Cesare and Catherine O’Queen Persianni and the wife of the late Frank Reece, who died in 1990. 

Surviving her are daughters, Gwen Metcalf (Johnny) of Concord and Cathy Owensby (Dean) of Weaverville; son Ronnie Reece (Martha) of Weaverville; brother, Clyde Persianni of Maryland; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Reece will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 28 in Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Marshall, NC with Reverend Phillip Parker officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
