Edith Jarvis Whitt

WEAVERVILLE – Edith Jarvis Whitt, age 84, of Weaverville died Sunday, October 1, 2017. Mrs. Whitt was born August 30, 1933 in Madison County. Edith enjoyed old mountain style handcraft working, loved animals of all kinds, especially her cats; she also enjoyed feeding wildlife and birds. She was a true mountain lady. When she wasn’t outdoors, she liked watching game shows – Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Maude Boone Jarvis; husband, Paul J. Whitt who died in 1998; brothers, Robert Lee Jarvis, Earl Jarvis and Joseph Jarvis. Surviving are two nieces and one nephew. Following her wishes there will be a private burial in West Memorial Park.
