Edna Biddix Ownbey

EDNA BIDDIX OWNBEY ASHEVILLE – Edna Biddix Ownbey, age 82, of Asheville died Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Mrs. Ownbey was born October 27, 1933 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife. Edna was a daughter of the late Estill B. and Maggie McFalls Biddix and wife of the late Charles Lewis Ownbey, who died in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ed Biddix. Surviving are her daughter, Renee Rogers and husband Dean of Weaverville; son, Vince Ownbey of the home; sister, Pansy Freeman of Leicester; grandchildren, Kristina and Robert Rogers of Weaverville. Her graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016, in West Memorial Park, Weaverville. The family will receive friends 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Saturday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
