Eileen Fleegal

WEAVERVILLE—Eileen Hunter Fleegal, age 85 of Weaverville died Monday, April 12, 2010. Mrs. Fleegal was born July 25, 1924 in Yancey County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. Eileen was a former nurse and a member of Long's Chapel Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Dorcas Rochester Hunter and wife of the late Harold Harding Fleegal who died in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her sisters; Ada Russell and Madge Ward. She is survived by her son, Bill L. Fleegal and wife Judy of Pennsylvania; daughters, Linda Fleegal of Chicago, ILL, Dianne Fleegal of Missouri, Katherine Bosh and husband Bill of Ohio and Terri Boyd of Asheville; brother, Paul Hunter of Weaverville; eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Mrs. Fleegal's Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 in Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with the Rev. Tim Griggs officiating. Burial will be in Long's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Weaverville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
