ELEANORE MARGARET KIRBY WEAVERVILLE - Eleanore Margaret Kirby of Weaverville, passed of natural causes on Monday, July 7, 2014. Mrs. Kirby was the daughter of the late Rev. Oswald and Eleanore Koch Riess and beloved wife of the late Herbert Kirby who died in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Rev. Walter Riess; and son-in-law, Donald Kaye. Surviving are her daughters, Gloria Kaye, and Monica Weinstein and husband Cye; and sisters, Rosalie Lindsay, and Lois Jeffery. Her love and devotion to her family was the primary purpose of life along with being a successful business woman. Private services were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at West Memorial Park, Weaverville, with Chaplain Cindy Coleman officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be sent to the Weaverville Senior Meal Center, P.O. Box 547, Weaverville, NC 28787.
