Elizabeth Culberson

HENDERSONVILLE – Elizabeth “Betty” Culberson, age 78 of Hendersonville died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at The Elizabeth House. Mrs. Culberson was born December 26, 1937 in Buncombe County and was a resident of Henderson County for much of her life. Betty retired from Southern Bell where she was a member of The Pioneers group. She was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold Eugene Moore and Margaret Biddix Lowe; husband Wallace Dean Culberson who died in 1969; and stepfather, Frank Lowe. Surviving are her daughters, Deanna Hill and husband Robert Hill II, Ann Burnette, Tami Patterson and husband Jeff; son, Richard Culberson and wife Donna; grandchildren, Robert Hill III and wife Tara, Meghan Hill, Amelia Derr, Emily Patterson, Jarid Culberson, Lakota Burnette; and great grandson Cole Hill. Her service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Craig Garren officiating.
