WEAVERVILLE—Elizabeth Giles McDonald, 88, of Ox Creek Road, died peacefully Sunday, May 2, 2010. She is survived by her daughters, Donna L. McDonald and her partner, Lucy Nehls, and Mary Neil Picard; grandson, Dylan Picard; sisters, Jessie Silber, Grace Surles, and Sara Davis; and brother, Joe Giles. A private family memorial service will be held in Linden, NC, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to John F. Keever Solace Center.
