Elsie Webb McMahan Kirby

WEAVERVILLE—Elsie Webb McMahan Kirby, age 92, of 9 Parker Rd., passed away Monday February 20, 2012. Mrs. Kirby was born September 28, 1919, in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virge and Lenora Anderson Webb; husbands, Baxter "Junie" McMahan and E.P. Bill" Kirby who died in 2004; and son, Sherriel McMahan. Surviving are her sons, Raymond McMahan of Stanley, Stan McMahan of Sylva, James McMahan of Martin, Ga., and Don McMahan of Weaverville; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Kirby's graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, February 24, 2012, at Piney Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
