MARSHALL—Emmett Ramsey, age 70, of 825 Don Felmet Rd., died Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
Mr. Ramsey was born April 24, 1941, in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life. He was the former owner of Moss Mobile Home Sales and later Ramsey Mobile Home Parts. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. Mr. Ramsey was a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed going to the lake in Pigeon Forge. Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, Armel and Gladys Shelton Ramsey; and sister, Edith Ramsey Allison.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Pat Fisher Ramsey; daughters, Tammie Thomas and husband Scottie and Lynn Ramsey Norton and husband Clifton, all of Leicester; brother, Dorse Ramsey of Leicester; granddaughters, Victoria Cutshall and husband David, Chelsea Norton, Shana, Brittney, and Madison Thomas; and great granddaughter, Payton Grace Cutshall.
Mr. Ramsey's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2012, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Revs. James Bryant, Brian Shetley and Woody Dillingham officiating. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Enka.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
