Emmitt Henry Phillips

EMMITT HENRY PHILLIPS WEAVERVILLE - Emmitt Henry Phillips, age 83, of 863 Reems Creek Road, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 26, 2014. Mr. Phillips was self-employed in both residential and commercial building. Son of the late Hubert and Minnie Cutshall Phillips, he was also preceded in death by his wife Ruby Griffin Phillips who died in 2002; sisters, Inez Staigo and Shirley Rice and brothers, Quince, Charles, Bobby, and Claude Phillips. Surviving are his daughter, Suzanne Phillips of Weaverville; sisters, Betty Smith of Lewisburg, TN, Iola Nelson of Hayesville; brother, Tony Phillips of Asheville, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Mission Hospital Trauma Care Unit and CarePartners Hospice for their love, support, and kindness.
