Euralee Proffitt Rogers

ASHEVILLE - Euralee Proffitt Rogers, 91, of the Bairds Cove Community of Asheville, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Claude and Mafra Proffitt. She was a member of Newbridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Rogers attended Blanton’s Business College where she received an Associate Degree in Business and was employed by Southern Bell until she retired in 1997. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, JB Rogers, Jr.; brother, Van Proffitt; and sister, Barbara Edwards.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her sons, Norman Rogers (Beverly), and Michael Rogers (Carolyn); daughter, Cynthia Whitley (Hank); sister, Yvonne Peek; sister-in-law, Jeanette Proffitt; grandson, Dustin Rogers; three great-grandchildren, Reilly, Kaylee, and Kaylan Rogers; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, December 27, 2024, at Newbridge Baptist Church, 199 Elkwood Ave., Asheville, officiated by Pastors Brian Buckner and Clark Henderson. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, 901 Aiken Rd., Asheville. The family will receive friends from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM prior to the service at the church.
