Everest Marie Raye Maltry

ASHEVILLE - Everest Marie Raye Maltry, 18 Days, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Duke University Hospital.

The daughter of Patrick Maltry and Maria Waller Maltry, she was born on November 24, 2023 in Buncombe County.

Everest is also survived by three brothers, Eli, Ethan and Emerson Maltry; maternal grandparents, Tom and Jackie Waller; paternal grandparents, Huey and Kim Maltry; maternal great grandmother, Elba Lunsford; and paternal great grandmother, Patricia Coker.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in the chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Pastor Andrew Sluder will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, 901 Aiken Road, Asheville. The family will receive friends from 1:30pm until 2:30pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
