Faye Maxwell Honeycutt

WEAVERVILLE –Faye Maxwell Honeycutt, age 83, of 87 Herron Cove Rd., went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 19, 2013. Mrs. Honeycutt was born April 12, 1930, in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She retired from Mills Manufacturing after 22 years of employment. She enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching. Faye was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Tom and Viola Capps Maxwell; daughters, Cecelia Honeycutt and Debra Jane Gaddy; brothers, Cecil and C.T. Maxwell; and sister, Sylvia Maxwell. Surviving are her daughters, Donna Edmonds and husband Alan, Anne Heath and husband Alan; sons, Cecil Honeycutt and wife Ping, Steve Honeycutt and wife Rhonda, Stanley Honeycutt and wife Angel; son-in-law, Jerry Lee Gaddy; sisters, Barbara Ray and husband Wendell, Phyllis Stevens and husband Floyd; sister-in-law, Irene Maxwell; brothers, Sam Maxwell and wife Betty Jo, Kenneth Maxwell and wife Betty, Gerald Maxwell and wife Ernestine; sixteen grandchildren including her special caregivers, Michelle Ramsey and Seth Edmonds; twenty great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Mark Crowder and Rev. Jim Dykes officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with grandsons, Brian Crompton, Adam Gaddy, Seth Edmonds, Claude, Steven, Anthony, Joey and Dewayne Honeycutt serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee and Lane Hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
