Flora McAbee Wright

BARNARDSVILLE– Flora McAbee Wright, age 91, of 507 Paint Fork Road, died Monday, December 11, 2017. Mrs. Wright was born April 10, 1926 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She retired from Montreat College. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin and Mollie Bailey McAbee, husband Horace Wright and daughter Joann Wright. Surviving are her daughter, Martha Mundy of Barnardsville; son, Junior Wright of Black Mountain; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverends Odis Hudgins and Terry Rice will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Fairview. The family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the funeral home.
