Flossie Sprinkle Brigmon

FLOSSIE SPRINKLE BRIGMON ARDEN – Flossie Sprinkle Brigmon, age 96 of Arden died Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Mrs. Brigmon was born March 19, 1920 in Madison County to the late John R. Sprinkle and Pearl Chambers Sprinkle Wheeler and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a member and past Matron of the Vance Chapter #285 Eastern Star. Mrs. Brigmon enjoyed gardening, knitting, quilting and crafts. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Grant Brigmon, Sr. who died in 1991; sons, Carl Eugene Brigmon and William Grant Brigmon, Jr.; granddaughter, Sandra Brigmon; half- sisters, Nellie Wheeler Medford, Dallie Sprinkle McDarris, Ida Lee Sprinkle Crisp; half-brother, Charlie Sprinkle. Surviving are her daughter, Hilda Brigmon Mull; son, Timothy Delane Brigmon and wife Beth; half-sister, Kathryn W. Burrell; half-brother, Albert Wheeler; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Roy Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome.
