FRANCES EMOLINE COLE SPROUSE
FAIRVIEW – Frances Emoline Cole Sprouse, age 93, of Fairview died Saturday, April 1, 2017.
Mrs. Sprouse was born February 23, 1924 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. Emoline retired as a seamstress from the Vanderbilt Shirt Co., loved working in her flowers and going to church. She was the daughter of the late William Garrett and Mattie Garrison Cole and wife of the late Homer C. Sprouse who died in 1987. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Rises Sprouse.
Surviving are her daughters, Frances Christine Price and husband Lane, and Emma Fucia Davis; son, Mark Sprouse; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in Clark’s Chapel Cemetery, Weaverville, with Reverend Larry Sprouse officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 3, 2017 at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
