FRANKLIN CARSON BARNARDSVILLE – Alfred Franklin Carson, age 79 of Barnardsville died Friday, January 8, 2016. Mr. Carson was born November 6, 1936 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Alfred and Beulah Henderson Carson. Surviving are his sister, Linda Carter and husband Leonard of Weaverville; nephews, Brian Carter and wife Mona, Andy Carter and wife Stephanie; two great nieces and two great nephews. His service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend David Crowder officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family wishes to acknowledge their appreciation for the kindness and assistance of the Madison Health and Rehab in looking after Franklin (Alfred).
