Georgia Ann Davis Sherlin

ALEXANDER—Georgia Ann Davis Sherlin, 64, of 233 Hughey Road, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Ms. Sherlin was born September 18, 1946, in Buncombe County. She was a daughter of the late Troy and Lucille Hughey Davis. Surviving are her children, Chris Sherlin, Jeff Sherlin, and Melissa Sherlin; brother, Mitchell Davis; sister, Norma Jean Nesbitt; grandchildren, Stephen, Shelby, Heather, Darian, and Brandon; great grandchildren, Damien and Trinity; and nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Revs. Mike Freeman and Jim Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Flint Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
