Gerald Locke Anderson

Gerald L. Anderson, age 83, of Weaverville died Monday, August 26, 2024. 

Mr. Anderson was born March 7, 1941, in Madison County to the late John Cling and Paris Jervis Anderson. He worked at American Enka for 16 years.

Gerald was a self-employed farmer for most of his life. For over 10 years, Gerald owned and operated Anderson Grocery in Barnardsville. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Norma Jean Ownbey Anderson; son, Jonathan R. “Roho” Anderson; and brothers, Gay Dean Anderson and Joe Paul Anderson.

Surviving is his son, Daniel Gerald Anderson of the home; and caregiver, Tammy Hensley.

A private graveside service was held at West Memorial Park.
