GLENDA MAE GOSNELL CHANDLER
WEAVERVILLE – Glenda Mae Gosnell Chandler, age 59 of Weaverville died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Chandler was born October 30, 1956 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was a dedicated manager with Hot Spot in Woodfin and attended Locust Grove Baptist Church. A daughter of the late Delmas Gosnell and Phyllis Capps Branch, Glenda was also preceded in death by brothers, Ed Robert, Alvin Gosnell; sisters, Thelma Fore, Thada Hunter; husband, Gene Chandler; paternal grandparents Ernest and Mae Gosnell.
Surviving are her daughters, Candria Michelle Chandler and husband Joel Lopez, Alexis Chandler; son, Michael Chandler; sisters, Kathy Branch, Brenda Crawford, Peggy Moore and husband Scott, Debbie Briggs, Kimberly McElrath and husband Raymon, Karen Burke; brother, Keith Branch; grandchildren, Kendall, Kalen, Tyler, Marcos, Josh; great great grandchild Josephine; special niece, Sherry Meadows.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 29, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with Reverend Woody Dillingham officiating. Burial will be in Scott Chandler Cemetery, Lumptown Rd., Walnut.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
