GRADY EDWARD BUTTS ASHEVILLE - Grady Edward Butts, age 83, of Asheville died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at John F. Keever Solace Center. Mr. Butts was born May 7, 1931 in Blount County, AL and was a resident of Buncombe County for 18 years. Mr. Butts worked for Archway Cookies as a baker and he was the caregiver for his late wife, Ruby Smith Butts who had Alzheimer's. Surviving are his daughters, Fay Ryan of Asheville and Judy Drinkard and her husband Al of Winston-Salem; son, Dewey Butts and his wife Missy of Ashland, OH; sisters, Daphnie Haynes of Arab, AL, Lodine Spolman of Bowington Beach, FL and Sue Ann Franklin of Waycross, GA; grandchildren, Amber Ried, Christina Ryan, Cody Butts and Madison Butts. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home in Albertville, AL. Burial will be in Nixon Chapel Cemetery in Horton, AL.
