WEAVERVILLE—Harold Edward Redman, Sr., age 75, of Weaverville, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011.
Mr. Redman was born May 6, 1936, in Wexford County, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Edward Redman and Audrey Burdick Redman; son, Forrest Charles Redman; brothers, Robert, Darrell and Russell Redman; and sister, Betty Brooks.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Nancy Hay Redman; daughters, Pamela Smith and husband Randall of Leslie, Mich., Theresa Hamel and husband Dean of Pierre, S.D., and Sue Brown and husband Russell of Weaverville; son, Harold E. Redman, Jr., and wife Connie of Wheeler, Mich.; daughter-in-law, Josephine Redman of Lapeer, Mich.; sisters, Marguerite Ankney of Lansing, Mich., Barbara Sheets of Traverse City, Mich., Inez Casertano of Cheshire, Conn., and Iris Morgan of Traverse City, Mich.; seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, July 1, 2011, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Robbie Leighton officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
