Harriet Ethel Smith Spengler

MARS HILL—Harriet Ethel Smith Spengler passed away on May 20, 2012, at the Brian Center in Weaverville, NC. She was married to George V. Spengler, who predeceased her. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Harriet Smith Gladish, Ellen Jeanne Smith, Susan Smith, Deborah Ande, Kathy Howells, Timothy Smith, Duane Shilling and Dennis Shilling. Mrs. Spengler was a member of the United Methodist Women and Weaverville United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2012, at Weaverville United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to Weaverville United Methodist Church, PO Box 37, Weaverville, NC 28787. West Funeral Home is assisting the family.
