Hazel Reese

WEAVERVILLE – Hazel Reese, age 98, of Weaverville, died Friday, October 5, 2018. Mrs. Reese was born June 20, 1920 in Madison County to the late Frank and Kate Massey Searcy. She was a resident of Weaverville since 1951. Hazel was a long time member of The Marshall Freewill Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Reese, who died in 2009, and a son, Jim Reese, who died in 2015. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Williams and husband David; son, John Reese and wife Janet; daughter-in-law, Pat Reese; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2018, in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville. Rev. Marjory Kiess will officiate.
