HELEN CRIBB CABE COLUMBUS - Helen Cribb Cabe, age 85, of Columbus and formerly of Franklin died Saturday, February 26, 2015. Mrs. Cabe was born March 4, 1929 in Alapaha, GA to the late Clyde and Lillian Saunders Cribb. Helen was a member of Clark's Chapel United Methodist Church, Franklin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband Thomas G. Cabe who died in 2012; sister, Jewel Jones; brothers, Clyde, Jr., Ervin, James and George Cribb. Surviving are her son, Bill Cribb and wife Linda of Columbus, NC; sister, Shirley Case of Hendersonville; grandsons, Christopher Smith of Asheville, Jerry McKinney of Brevard and six great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, March 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Western Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery with Reverend Don Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, her family is requesting that donations be made to Clark's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, Franklin, NC; Rathburn Center, Asheville, NC; Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills, Landrum, SC.
