Hilda Golland Wilson

WEAVERVILLE - Hilda Golland Wilson, age 87, of 11 Meadowview Terrace, died Friday, December 19 2008 at the Brian Center. Mrs. Wilson was born December 18, 1921 in Oldham (Lance) England. Hilda loved her family, her church and was a caregiver to many. She was a daughter of the late John Robert and Ada Coldman Golland. She was the wife of the late Harvey Oscar Wilson who died in 2006, also preceded in death by son, Donald Golland Wilson and sister, Marjory Golland Beach. Surviving is her daughter; Rev. Marjory W. Kiess and her husband, Rev. Raymond B. Kiess of Weaverville; two grandchildren, Leanna K. McKinney and her husband Brennan of Morganton and Jon Kiess of Raleigh; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 23rd in Alexander Chapel United Methodist Church of which she was a member with the Rev. Naomi King officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
