Howard Talmadge Cox, Jr.

ASHEVILLE - Howard was born July 7th, 1929 in Cambridge, MD.  He was the son of Howard and Flora Cox.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; his parents; four brothers: Bill, Emerson, John and Bobby; and his sister, Doris Messick.  

He is survived by his son, Frank Peters and his wife, Cassandra Sweet.  

He was a Korean War Veteran who served four years in the US Air Force (1948-1952).  Howard attended the University of Delaware and retired from the DuPont Company after 35 years in the Agricultural Chemical Research Department.  He enjoyed his retirement years with family, friends, woodworking, traveling and all the other things that make getting up in the morning “a good thing”.
