Ida Fox Ballard

WEAVERVILLE—Ida Fox Ballard, age 91, of Weaverville, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Mrs. Ballard was born June 27, 1921, in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a member of Woodland Hills Church. She was the daughter of the late R.S. and Della Banks Fox, and the wife of the late Arthur R. Ballard who died in 2007. Surviving are her daughter, Rosemary Thomas and husband Lendon of Spartanburg, S.C.; sons, Keith Tinsley and wife Brenda of Weaverville and Michael Tinsley and wife Shirley of Gaffney, S.C.; grandchildren, Teresa Shuford, Keitha Sherrill, Monica Thomas, Tim Tinsley, Billy Tinsley, Michael Glenn Tinsley; and great grandchildren, Taylor Shuford and Dalton Friel. Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Upper Laurel Baptist Church Cemetery.
