Inez Newton Boone

WEAVERVILLE –Inez Newton Boone, age 84, of 235 Ox Creek Rd., died Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Mrs. Boone was born October 7, 1927, in Brevard and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She attended First Born Baptist Church. Inez was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Riley and Mattie Davis Newton. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Taylor Arden Boone; daughter, Jeanette Boone of Weaverville; sons, Ronnie Boone and wife Hester of Asheville and Terry Boone and wife Linda of Alabama; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Pastor Jerry Jamerson officiating. Burial will be in Thomas S. Dillingham Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome.
