Irene Tesner Robinson

WEAVERVILLE – Irene Tesner Robinson, 82, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Elizabeth House surrounded by her family after an extended illness.

A native of Buncombe County, Irene was the daughter of the late Clyde and Florence Tesner. She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Nell, Jean, Frances, Shirley and Libby; and a son in law, Robert White.

She is survived by a son, Steve Robinson; two daughters, Judy White (Robert) and Angi Arwood (Orville); three grandchildren, Trent Arwood (Krystal), Kelly White (Jeremy) and Sarah Dodd (Bo); four great grandchildren, Jett, Brayleigh, Everleigh and Tucker; and two sisters, Carolyn and Kathleen.

Irene was a seamstress by profession and loved to make quilts, clothes, doll clothes and stuffed animals for her family and friends. She was an avid reader and loved hymns.

Her family would like to express their gratitude to Four Seasons Hospice for her home care and Elizabeth House for their compassionate care during her final days.

In honoring her wishes, the family will hold services privately.
