ISABELLE BRADLEY BALLARD HOISINGTON ATTICA, MI – Isabelle Bradley Ballard Hoisington, age 101 of Attica, Michigan died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Marion. Mrs. Hoisington was born January 29, 1916 in Buncombe County to the late Ira Alexander and Florence Swann Bradley. She was a resident of Michigan for most of her life. A pleasant and positive woman, Isabelle never had anything bad to say. She always had a smile on her face, and everyone who met her loved her. She worked as a “Rosie the Riveter" for General Motors in Michigan, and provided well for her family. She was a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands, Cecil Ballard and Woodrow Hoisington; sons, John Michael Ballard, Philip Keith Ballard; grandsons, Steve and Timothy Spitler; sisters, Polly Lathrop, Geneva Ingle; brothers, Joe Bradley and Ira Bradley, Jr. Surviving are her daughters, Joy Evans and husband Lonnie, Jacqueline Matusko Midtgard; sister, Betty Andrews and husband Dan; grandchildren, Rick, Mike and Doug Gladden; Michael Jay Ballard and Kimberly Lowen; 7 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Harold Webb officiating.
