WEAVERVILLE - Iva Glen Fisher Greene, age 81, of 141 McLean Road died Monday, March 16, 2015.
Mrs. Greene was born December 6, 1933 in Madison County, and had lived in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a former L.P.N. and had been a truck driver with her husband at Clenard Greene Trucking. Iva was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Vaughn C. Fisher, Sr. and Carrie Briggs Fisher; sister, Nina Reece; and brothers, Ralph, Fred, Howard and V.C. Fisher.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years Clenard Greene; daughters, Sandra G. Allen and husband David, Susan G. Ragsdale and husband Rocky; sons, Danny Greene, Michael Greene and Carol; sisters, Grace Buckner and husband Frank, Eileen Griffin, Helen Griffin and husband Claude; grandchildren, Amanda Wallen, Jeremy Allen and wife Apsara, Kristy Davis and husband Brent, Brandon Greene and wife Erin, and Curtis Greene; great grandchildren, Savannah Wallen and fiancée Justin, Bryan Davis, Trey and Kalena Allen, Jacob, Sadie and Landon Greene; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2015, in Oak Grove Baptist Church, Marshall, NC, of which she was a life-long member. Reverends Philip Parker, Garland Rice and Keith Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
At other times, the family will be at the residence.
