JAMES EDWARD CLAYTON, JR.
LEICESTER – James Edward Clayton, Jr., age 40, of Leicester passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016.
James was born May 27, 1976 in Buncombe County where he had lived for most of his life. He was employed at Jacob Holm Industries. He was a beloved father, son, brother and loyal friend, notorious for his practical jokes. He enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, camping, joy riding and bonfires. James was grateful for his salvation. He is preceded in death by his father, James Edward Clayton, Sr.
Surviving are his mother, Virginia Lamb Schweitzer and her husband Patrick; daughter, Allison Biddix and boyfriend Neal Kelly; brother, Frank Wright, III and wife Carla; sisters, Kimberly Hart and husband Lee, Christina Barnard and husband Josh, Barbara Ann “Barbie” Baer and husband Dan, Laura Clayton and fiancé Enrique; along with sixteen nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Steve Rhinehart officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday prior to the service.
