James Franklin Eller

CANDLER - James Franklin Eller, 79, died on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Eller was born on October 19, 1943 in Buncombe County where he lived all of his life. He was the son of the late John A. Eller, Sr., and Anna Lee Franklin Eller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anita H. Eller; and brother, John A. Eller, Jr.

James was a graduate of North Buncombe High School and Mars Hill College. He was a United States Army veteran who served in Vietnam and retired from Champion International after 30 years of service. James was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church in Candler.

James is survived by daughter Joanne Ferranti, and her husband Andrew; granddaughters, Bella and Angie; niece, Stephanie Eller Vaughn; nephew Jonathan Eller; and great-nephew, Connor Eller Vaughn. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at 89 Flat Creek Church Road in Weaverville, just down the road from the church. Rev. Jack W. Collins is  officiating.
