JANNIE IOMA EVANS WRIGHT ASHEVILLE – Jannie Ioma Evans Wright, age 83, of 200 Tunnel Road, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Mrs. Wright was born March 20, 1933 in Buncombe County to the late William M. and Inez Marie Moore Evans. She was wife of the late Woodrow Wright who died in 1992; and was also preceded in death by great grandson, Daniel Lee Burchett. She attended Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Swannanoa. Surviving are her daughters, Sheila Slater, Pat Watkins, Martha Moore, Beverly Love; sons, Larry Rumbough, Robert Maybin; 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2017, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
