Jay Hugh Hyder

WOODFIN—Jay Hugh Hyder, age 51, of Woodfin died Saturday, March 16, 2013. Jay was born March 24, 1961, in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He was a self-employed Mason. He is the son of Betty Revis and the late Harry Joseph Hyder. Jay was a quiet man who was a friend to all and his life revolved around his family and providing for them. He leaves behind his loving family that includes his wife of 22 ½ years, Katherine Penland Hyder; daughters, Fallon Jae Hyder and Bradee Jayde Hyder; sons, Dillon Jay Hyder and Jarrett Cale Hyder, all of Woodfin; sister, Cindy Runion of Asheville; brothers, Joseph Glen Hyder and Harry Dale Hyder, both of Asheville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
