JEAN ANN ANGEL ALEXANDER - Jean Ann Angel, age 82 of Alexander died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Aston Park Health Care Center. Mrs. Angel was born in 1933 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was strong, beautiful, kind and always gentle. "Each second without her will be ten thousand tears." Mrs. Angel retired from American Enka. Jean was a daughter of the late Myrtle Cassida and Armour Davis Whiteside and wife of the late Sam Angel who died in March of 2015. Also preceding her in death are sister, Sue Case; brothers, Claude Whiteside and Armour Whiteside, Jr. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Grooms and husband Wesley; sons, Michael Angel, Wesley Angel and wife Gwenda, Paul Angel and wife Maria; grandchildren, Amber, Colleen, Dawn, Forrest; great grandchildren, Alicia, Hannah, Breanna, Eli; Momma Jean's special girls, Cailyn and Skylar; cousins, who she loved and spoke often of, Betty, Dorothy, J.C., Earl, who she lived with. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Aston Park who took such good care of our mom and became our friends. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2015, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Bill Moody officiating. Burial will be in French Broad Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Flowers are welcome. Those desiring to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to consider Aston Park Health Care Employee Fund, 380 Brevard Rd., Asheville, NC 28806.
