JEREMIAH WAYNE STEVENSON
BARNARDSVILLE – Jeremiah Wayne Stevenson, age 27 of Barnardsville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 14, 2017.
Jeremiah was born June 17, 1989 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He enjoyed working as a landscaper. He loved cars, sports, especially the Carolina Tar Heels. He also enjoyed collecting what others might consider junk. Jeremiah was saved as a young boy at Paint Fork Missionary Baptist Church, where he had been a lifelong member. He was a champion of the “underdog” always helping others. He was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Pike.
Surviving are his parents, Larry and Genevieve White Stevenson; son, Conner; paternal grandmother, Doreen Stevenson; brother, Chris Pike and wife Cindy, and their children Hannah and Haley; nephew, Dusty Pike; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Jeremiah’s life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017, in Paint Fork Missionary Baptist Church, 527 Paint Fork Road, Barnardsville, NC 28709 with Reverend Shane Lunsford officiating.
