Jerlene Ledford Robertson

WEAVERVILLE—Jerlene Ledford Robertson, age 70, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Jerlene was born June 10, 1941, in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She retired from Buncombe County Schools after 24 years. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Union Church. Jerlene was a daughter of the late John and Gladys Banks Ledford and was also preceded in death by nephew, John Whitson. Surviving are her devoted husband of 46 years, Thomas Richard Robertson; daughter, Lisa Coman and husband Matt Coman of Canton; son, Jerry Robertson and wife Kelli Briggs Robertson of Mars Hill; granddaughters, Bailey Marie Coman and Meredith Leigh Robertson; sisters, Peggy Rambo and husband Tommy, Margie Whitson and husband Charles, Judy Harwood, and Carolyn Franklin and husband Johnny; brothers, Benny Lewis Ledford and wife Faye, Earl Ledford and wife Linda, Jack Ledford and wife Debbie, and Freddie Ledford; numerous nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 3 PM Friday, July 22, 2011, at Pleasant Grove Union Church, with Rev. Ray Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Union Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Friday at the church. At other times the family will be at the residence.
