John Wiley Clay

JOHN WILEY CLAY, JR. WEAVERVILLE - John Wiley Clay, Jr., age 78, of 26 Alexander Road, died on Friday, May 9, 2014. Mr. Clay was born February 17, 1936, in Caldwell County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life. He was a member of the National Guard for 10 years and retired as Sgt. from the Buncombe County Sheriff's Dept. after 35 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church, Weaverville. John was the son of the late John W. Clay, Sr. and Georgia Isenhour Blair and was the husband of the late J. Genevieve "Gen" Clay who died in 2004. Surviving are his son, Dana Clay of Weaverville; and his brother, Richard "Rick" Blair of Charlotte.
