Johnnie Rector Roberts

WEAVERVILLE—Johnnie Rector Roberts, age 88, of 191 Long's Chapel Road died Saturday, December 22, 2012. Mrs. Roberts was born March 3, 1924 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Texie Hyatt Rector; husband, B. Joe Roberts who died in 2011; sisters, Hazel Hyatt, Mary Lou Watson, Kate Roberts and Ann Moore and brothers, Claude, Edward and Bill Rector. Surviving are her daughters, Judy Alexander and Diane Hollifield both of Weaverville and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Burial will be in Long's Chapel Cemetery, Weaverville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the residence.
