Joyce Prewitt

WEAVERVILLE—Joyce Prewitt, age 80, of Weaverville, died Sunday, October 2, 2011. She was a daughter of the late Ovea and Laura Griffith. Surviving are her daughters, Lena Richie and Linda Blanton; sons, Roy Prewitt, Ronnie Prewitt, Glen Prewitt, and Bobby Prewitt; sisters, Gere, Dean and Ruth; brothers, Bill, Arlie, Meace, and Tony; grandchildren, Richard, Crystal, Cindy, Shawn, Matthew, Sarah, Shaina, Jason, and Jeff; great grandchildren, Caleb, Alexis, Alisa, Oliver, Brittany, and Dakota. Her memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, October 6, 2011, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
